Return to hobbit times to view Emma’s custom built houses where she lives without the use of electric, running water, the internet and the luxuries of life.
Watch as she describes how life really is with such simple circumstances – as nice as it looks in the summer and sunny months there’s a bit more to learn about living through the winter.
Emma’s view is to stay away from all the trappings of city and town life, seeking to stay off the paths that lead most people to have to get jobs and pay mortgages for so many years of their lives.
We are toured round Emma’s haven by Living Big In A Tiny House where we are told about the legal aspects in Wales for small sustainable homesteads.
Emma has been bold to build something most people in the West would not think to do, with this way of life being all about creating a closer relationship to nature while also creating a lifestyle where she is free of the pressures of the modern world.
Her characterful house is beautiful and warm. Water being collected from a spring fed stream which runs by her house, and at night, candles and a fire light her home.
Emma’s story is a wonderful reminder of just how little we actually need in life, and perhaps also a reminder of how much of ourselves that we need to sacrifice in order to obtain the things we do have. I hope you enjoy her story and the video tour of her very special, very simple home.
